📋 Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Lagoon app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. These terms apply to all versions of Lagoon, including the free and Pro plans.

🔭 Description of service

Lagoon is an iOS application designed to help amateur astronomers plan observation sessions, explore astronomical catalogues (Messier and NGC), log observations, and access sky conditions based on their location.

Lagoon is a personal, non-commercial tool. It is not intended for professional astronomical research, navigation, or safety-critical use of any kind.

✨ Pro plan & purchases

The Pro plan unlocks additional features including the full NGC catalogue, unlimited observation sessions, the session planner, iOS widgets, PDF export, and iCloud sync. It is available as a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple. Lagoon is not able to process refunds.

The Lagoon app, its design, code, and original assets are the exclusive property of Amélien Bernard. All rights reserved. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app without prior written permission.

Astronomical data is sourced from OpenNGC (MIT licence) and images from NASA/ESA public archives. Personal photos you add to your observation logs remain your own property at all times.

⚠️ Disclaimer

Weather forecasts, seeing conditions, light pollution data, and object visibility calculations are provided for informational purposes only. Accuracy depends on third-party data sources and cannot be guaranteed.

Lagoon is not responsible for any inconvenience, loss, or injury resulting from the use of the app - including but not limited to incorrect visibility predictions, navigation in the dark, or adverse weather conditions encountered during an observation session.

🛡️ Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Amélien Bernard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Lagoon, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

🔄 Modifications to the app

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Lagoon at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

⚖️ Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes arising from the use of Lagoon shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of France.
